About Us

Piclizer is a free online toolbox for images, PDFs, text, calculations and code — built for people who want fast, practical results without uploading their files to anyone's server.

Who we are

Piclizer is an independent web platform created by a small team of engineers and designers who were tired of two things: online tools that are free but plaster the screen with intrusive ads, and professional software that costs a monthly subscription just to resize a photo.

We believe everyday file tasks — compressing a photo for an email, merging a couple of PDFs, formatting a JSON config — should take seconds, cost nothing, and never put your private files at risk. That belief is the reason every Piclizer tool runs entirely inside your browser rather than on a remote server.

Our mission

Our mission is to make high-quality file utilities freely available to everyone, in plain language, in both English and Arabic. We want a student preparing an assignment, a photographer delivering client proofs, and an office worker handling paperwork to all be able to finish their task in under a minute — without creating an account, installing software, or sending their documents to a stranger's cloud.

What we offer

Piclizer currently ships more than 70 free tools organised into nine categories:

Every tool page includes a short walkthrough, answers to frequently asked questions, and a growing library of step-by-step guides that explain the underlying concepts — how image compression actually works, when to choose WebP over JPG, or how to prepare a passport photo that meets official requirements.

  • Image tools — compress, resize, crop, rotate, flip, merge, split and watermark photos
  • Format converters — JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and PDF conversions, including iPhone photos
  • PDF tools — merge, split, rotate, reorder, protect, unlock, compress and extract content
  • Text tools — word counting, case conversion, cleanup, diffing and slugs
  • Calculators — percentages, loans and interest, dates, BMI, GPA, tips, units and currency
  • Developer tools — JSON, XML, SQL, CSS and JavaScript formatters, JWT decoding, hashing and more

How Piclizer works

When you drop a file into a Piclizer tool, the file is read by your own browser using standard web technology. All decoding, editing and encoding happens on your device's processor. Your images, PDFs and text are never transmitted to us, never stored on a server, and never seen by our team. Close the tab and the working copies are gone.

This local-first design has three practical benefits: your files stay private by default, the tools work even on a slow connection once the page has loaded, and we can offer everything free of charge because we do not pay for heavy server-side processing.

Our principles

Three principles guide every decision we make. Privacy first: we do not want your files, so we built a site that cannot take them. Honest free: the tools are free, and our only revenue comes from clearly separated advertising that never blocks or interferes with a tool mid-task. Plain language: we explain what each tool does, what it accepts, and what it produces before you use it — no dark patterns, no surprise paywalls at the download button.

Who uses Piclizer

Our visitors include students and teachers preparing course material, photographers and designers optimising images for the web, developers debugging APIs and formatting configuration files, and administrative staff who need to combine, compress or protect PDF documents daily. Because the site works in both English and Arabic, it is used across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and beyond.

Get in touch

We read every message. If a tool is missing a feature you need, produced an unexpected result, or if you simply want to say hello, visit our contact page or email us directly. Feedback from real users is how we decide what to build next, and several of our newest tools started as suggestions from visitors like you.
