FAQ

On solid or smoothly graduated backgrounds — product shots, documents, signatures. Busy multi-colour scenes need manual editing software.

It sets how close a pixel must be to the background colour to become transparent. Raise it for off-white or shadowed backgrounds.

No — it is a transparent chroma-key algorithm running locally. It is honest about that: no uploads, no AI server, instant results.

Always PNG, because it is the format that supports transparency.

About this tool: Background Remover

Clean transparent backgrounds, locally

The Background Remover isolates the subject of a JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC image and makes everything else transparent, handing you a clean PNG cut-out. Edge handling is tuned for real-world photos — hair, soft shadows and curved products — so the result drops naturally onto any new background.

Transparent cut-outs are the workhorse of modern visuals: product cards on white marketplaces, profile stickers, presentation graphics, marketing banners. Traditionally this meant Photoshop and careful manual masking; here it is one drop and one click, powered by an in-browser algorithm that analyses colour and edge structure to separate foreground from background.

Processing runs entirely on your device — the photo never touches a server — which makes the tool safe for unreleased products and private subjects. Follow up with the Image Resizer to produce platform-specific dimensions, or the Watermark tool to brand the cut-out before publishing.

Like every Piclizer tool, this one runs entirely in your browser — your files stay on your device.
