Hit an exact file size in kilobytes
The Exact Size tool does what ordinary compressors cannot: it makes a JPG, PNG or WebP image land precisely under a kilobyte target you type — 100 KB, 50 KB, whatever the form demands. Instead of guessing quality values, you state the size and the tool searches the encoding space automatically until the file fits.
Government portals, visa applications, scholarship systems and job sites famously enforce hard limits like “maximum 100 KB”. Overshooting means rejection; compressing blindly means losing far more quality than necessary. This tool hits the limit with the highest quality the target allows, nothing wasted in either direction.
Everything is computed locally in your browser: the image is re-encoded repeatedly on your device until the target is met, then offered for download. For consistent results across a whole set of images, process them one by one — each gets its own optimal setting for the same size cap.
