FAQ

Use commas to separate parts and dashes for ranges — 1-3, 5, 8-10 produces three files covering pages 1 to 3, page 5, and pages 8 to 10.

Never. The file on your device is only read; every split part is created as a brand-new document in memory.

Files up to 100 MB and 500 pages. Larger documents may still work but can be slow depending on your device.

About this tool: PDF Splitter

Split a PDF wherever you need

The PDF Splitter cuts one PDF document into several smaller ones. Give it page ranges — 1–3, 5, 8–12 — and it produces a separate PDF for each range, or splits the file at fixed intervals into equal chunks. The original file is never modified.

Splitting is the counterpart of merging, and just as useful: pull a handful of relevant pages out of a 200-page report, divide a combined scan into its logical documents, or break a large file into pieces that clear an e-mail attachment limit. Each output PDF contains only the pages you asked for, at full original quality.

Like all Piclizer PDF tools, splitting happens in your browser with pdf-lib — the document is parsed on your device and the output files are generated there too. Sensitive paperwork never leaves your computer, and there is no upload wait even for large documents.

Like every Piclizer tool, this one runs entirely in your browser — your files stay on your device.
