FAQ

Each course's grade points are multiplied by its credit hours; the total is then divided by the total credit hours.

The 4.0 scale, the 5.0 scale used in several countries, and direct percentage averaging.

About this tool: GPA Calculator

Your GPA, computed the way registrars do

The GPA Calculator computes your grade point average from your courses, credits and grades, supporting the common scales — 4.0, 5.0 and percentage-based systems. Add each course with its credit weight, and the tool produces your weighted average instantly, semester by semester or cumulatively.

GPA is credit-weighted, which is what makes mental calculation unreliable: an A in a five-credit course moves the needle more than an A in a two-credit seminar. The tool does the weighting correctly and shows how each course contributes, so you know exactly where improvement pays off most.

Calculations run locally — grades are private, and they stay on your device. Plan target GPAs by testing hypothetical grades for upcoming courses, and check scholarship or admission thresholds before applications are due.

Like every Piclizer tool, this one runs entirely in your browser — your files stay on your device.
